Academic Integrity

A Core Value

Academic integrity is one of the core values at FlexPoint Virtual School and one of the most important areas of focus as a learning organization. Students with academic integrity make decisions based on ethics and values that will prepare them to be productive and ethical citizens.
  • FlexPoint Virtual School expects a full commitment to Academic Integrity from its students.
  • Academic Integrity requires all school work be submitted by the student, either created by them or an original representation of it.
  • When you take a FlexPoint Virtual School course, you agree to take a proctored exam anytime.
  • The FlexPoint Virtual School curriculum is designed so resources needed for student learning are provided within our coursework. When using additional resources, students should be sure to cite them properly.
  • FlexPoint Virtual School instructors are an important resource as well and should be contacted when student assistance is needed.
  • Academic Integrity must be maintained while taking FlexPoint Virtual School courses. Plagiarism, copying and pasting, sharing work, copying another person’s work, using translators for World Language courses, etc., will result in consequences according to the FlexPoint Virtual School Academic Integrity Matrix (PDF).
Students who uphold the values of academic integrity will learn more and represent themselves as productive, honest, ethical citizens.
