FAQs
Prior to Enrolling
FlexPoint Virtual School is accredited through Cognia and by the Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).
FlexPoint Virtual School does not issue a high school diploma at this time. Students are able to take FlexPoint Virtual School courses with credit toward graduation as long as the diploma granting institution or local school accepts FlexPoint Virtual School transcripts. Consult with the school to determine if FlexPoint Virtual School courses are eligible before enrolling. Students can be active in up to 6 courses at a time.
If a student has a disability or impairment, this should be indicated during registration. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing FlexPoint Virtual School a copy of the student’s most current IEP (Individual Educational Plan) or 504 Plan. These documents should be submitted directly to [email protected] by the parent/guardian. All students at FlexPoint Virtual School have access to many accommodations that naturally occur in the virtual setting. In addition, FlexPoint Virtual School may be able to provide additional accommodations per a student’s IEP or Section 504 Plan if the accommodation(s) is/are applicable to the online educational environment. Please note that some accommodations may not be possible to implement in the online educational setting. Students/families are encouraged to communicate regularly with teachers at FlexPoint Virtual School to determine whether the virtual educational environment can appropriately meet the needs of the student. FlexPoint Virtual School offers a grace period for families to determine if the online environment is an appropriate fit. Please be sure to discuss the limitations of this grace period with FlexPoint Virtual School teachers or support representatives immediately upon enrollment in FlexPoint Virtual School.
