In this course, you will develop the skills necessary for college-level mathematics by integrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical skills. You will explore expressions, equations, and functions while interpreting real-world problem solutions at an algebra level suitable for college entry. The course emphasizes five key areas: fluency with the Laws of Exponents, extending arithmetic operations to rational and polynomial expressions, solving various equations, modeling with multiple types of functions, and understanding inverse and composite functions. This comprehensive approach ensures you are well-prepared for higher-level math courses.

Module One: Algebra Basics

-Evaluate expressions

-Create and apply linear equations

-Solve for a variable using dimensional analysis

-Solve absolute value inequalities


Module Two: Equations and Functions

-Graph lines

-Find and calculate slope

-Apply linear equations with two variables

-Apply and solve linear systems

-Understand functions

Module Three: Polynomials

-Apply laws of exponents

-Add, subtract, multiply and divide polynomials

-Transform and solve problems involving quadratic functions
