Description

This is a foundational course with concepts across many types of sciences, including Earth and Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. Through exploring, making observations, and describing, students explore the five senses, the properties and motion of objects, the day and night skies, the size and distance of objects, plants, and animals.

Module One: The Five Senses

-The five senses and related body parts

-Texture and touch

-Sound and vibration

-Describe taste and smell

-Observation

Module Two: Properties of Objects

-Size, weight, color, shape, texture, and temparature of objects

-Sort by observable properties of matter

-Change in materials (cutting, tearing, crumpling, smashing, or rolling)

-Observation

Module Three: Motion

-Motion of objects (fast, slow)

-Change in motion

-Forces (push and pull)

-Law of gravity

-Record keeping
